SAMSUNG PRONTA AD ABBANDONARE LA FASCIA BASSA IN EUROPA?

Secondo quanto riportato da alcuni siti web del settore, Samsung sarebbe pronta ad abbandonare il mercato degli smartphone di fascia bassa in Europa. La notizia proviene da un rappresentante delle telecomunicazioni olandese, il quale sostiene che il colosso coreano non ha più intenzione di vendere i dispositivi entry-level nel paese.
Danijel Dercksen afferma che “Samsung ha intenzione di vendere gli smartphone che costano meno di 250 Euro in alcuni paesi, tra cui l'Olanda”. Al momento si tratta di una semplice indiscrezione, per altro ancora non confermata ufficialmente dal gigante asiatico, ma qualora dovesse venire confermata andrebbe a delineare una strategia che vuole Samsung al lavoro sulla fascia medio-bassa del mercato solo nei paesi emergenti. Questa decisione potrebbe anche portare ad un nuovo approccio di vendita per i top di gamma, magari ma chiaramente al momento sono solo ipotesi al vaglio degli analisti e delle varie testate che stanno raccontando quella che potrebbe essere una decisione molto importante per il mercato europeo.

Thailand army continues crackdown after coup

Thailand's military has ordered 35 more people, including prominent academics, to report to them by Saturday afternoon as the post-coup crackdown continues. The move comes a day after the army ordered more than 100 politicians, including ex-PM Yingluck Shinawatra, to come to the military council. Ms Yingluck was detained in Bangkok on Friday and spent the night in custody. Many on the army's latest list have previously been charged with speaking or acting against the monarchy. Meanwhile, several hundred protesters have taken to the streets of Bangkok to show their anger at military's seizure of power, defying a ban on large gatherings. Anti-coup banners were unfurled as they arrived at Victory Monument. Officials said the former prime minister would not be held for more than a week but insisted that her detention was necessary while matters in the country were "organised".
