La conferenza sulla sicurezza a Monaco di Baviera è diventata un vertice allargato sull’Ucraina. Angela Merkel e François Hollande hanno incontrato ieri Vladimir Putin a Mosca. Da oggi a Monaco si distute il dossier ucraino, sembra si sia vicini a un accordo ma i due leader europei mostrano tutto il loro scetticismo anche se con diversi toni. Merkel dice che l’esito del piano è incerto. Hollande parla addirittura di guerra se non si trova un accordo. Putin come al solito interviene a modo suo: prima tace davanti allo scompiglio, poi rassicura: la Russia non vuole la guerra.

No-one was injured in the explosion but the reception area was extensively damaged A masked man has thrown what police have described as a "firebomb" into the reception area of a Londonderry hotel. The Everglades Hotel, in the Prehen area of the city, was evacuated after the device was reported at 23:15 BST on Thursday. The device exploded a short time later when Army bomb experts were working to make it safe. No-one was injured in the explosion but the reception was extensively damaged. Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness has tweeted: "Derry is a place looking to the future and will not be held back by those living in the past. Their attack on the Everglades must be condemned."
