Nintendo Club si avvia verso la chiusura


Nintendo Italia ha annunciato che il Nintendo Club si avvia verso la chiusura ufficiale, dopo 13 anni di vita. Il servizio è stato inaugurato nel lontano 2002 con il debutto di GameCube in Europa ed è rimasto in vita anche nell'era Wii/Wii U.
Nintendo Club chiuderà ma sarà sostituito da una nuova iniziativa per premiare i clienti più fedeli, maggiori dettagli arriveranno entro la fine dell'anno. Le stelle attualmente in vigore dovrebbero scadere entro il 31 gennaio ma Nintendo ha deciso di prolungare la validità dei punti fino al 30 settembre, da questa data non sarà più possibile accumulare e spendere i punti stella. Di seguito, alcune informazioni riguardo le tempistiche relative all'interruzione del servizio:
  • 1 aprile - I titoli Nintendo pubblicati dopo questa data non includeranno punti stella e non sarà quindi possibile registrarli su Nintendo Club
  • 20 aprile - I prodotti digitali scaricati da Nintendo eShop non potranno pià essere registrati
  • 30 settembre - Il servizio Club Nintendo chiuderà ufficialmente e non sarà più possibile iscriversi, gestire il proprio account e spendere i punti nello Star Catalogo.
Nintendo consiglia di spendere tutte le proprie stelle prima del 30 settembre, la società inoltre precisa che New 3DS e 3DS XL non includeranno punti stella, mentre nei bundle sarà presente una scheda per registrare Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate e The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D.

Londonderry explosion: 'Firebomb' explodes in Everglades Hotel

No-one was injured in the explosion but the reception area was extensively damaged A masked man has thrown what police have described as a "firebomb" into the reception area of a Londonderry hotel. The Everglades Hotel, in the Prehen area of the city, was evacuated after the device was reported at 23:15 BST on Thursday. Thailand army continues crackdown after coup

Thailand's military has ordered 35 more people, including prominent academics, to report to them by Saturday afternoon as the post-coup crackdown continues. The move comes a day after the army ordered more than 100 politicians, including ex-PM Yingluck Shinawatra, to come to the military council. Ms Yingluck was detained in Bangkok on Friday and spent the night in custody. Many on the army's latest list have previously been charged with speaking or acting against the monarchy. Meanwhile, several hundred protesters have taken to the streets of Bangkok to show their anger at military's seizure of power, defying a ban on large gatherings. Anti-coup banners were unfurled as they arrived at Victory Monument. Officials said the former prime minister would not be held for more than a week but insisted that her detention was necessary while matters in the country were "organised".
